Certified Notary Signing Team
MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT
Joe Hartzell, President
Hi, I am Joe the owner and founder of Sensible Signings..
I graduated from ASU with a bachelor’s in business administration. I am not a native Arizonan, however I have lived here the majority of my life, and I am proud to call this state my home. I have been a loan signing agent since 2012 and have worked with several signing services and escrow direct clients prior to establishing Sensible Signings in 2013. I am an NNA background screened and certified signing agent. Prior to becoming a signing agent, I held positions such as bookkeeper and office manager for a hotel group, construction/demo company and landscape service. I have a wonderful wife named Shanna, who is my business partner and best friend. Shanna homeschools our 3 children Nolan, Shyloh, and Lexin as well as being the secretary for Sensible Signings. I believe we must work together to provide the best customer experience and am blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing team of office staff and signing agents. I have promoted regular training to my team, since we started, by implementing and hosting quarterly trainings. Many of our signing agents have been with us for years, and several since I first opened the business.

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.
At Sensible Signings, we believe teamwork is the foundation of every successful signing. While one notary can serve a client, it takes a network of skilled, reliable professionals to provide consistent, nationwide coverage and peace of mind for every transaction.
By joining our team, you’re not just taking on signings—you’re becoming part of a community built on trust, collaboration, and shared success. Together, we ensure that every client receives seamless, accurate, and professional service, no matter where they are.
When notaries unite with a common purpose, the possibilities are endless. Let’s grow, support one another, and achieve more—together.
